Lindley’s Aster is found in open woodlands, woodland edges, rocky areas, and moist meadows. It produces clusters of small lavender to pale blue flowers with yellow centres in late summer and fall. It prefers average soils. Its relatively delicate appearance makes it useful in naturalistic woodland and meadow plantings. It usually forms manageable clumps.
