Sideoats Grama is a beautiful native prairie grass named for the small oat-like seed spikes that hang along one side of its flowering stems. It forms tidy clumps of fine foliage and produces attractive reddish seed heads in summer. It thrives in well-drained soils, making it an excellent choice for drought-tolerant gardens, prairie plantings, and smaller landscapes. It is very drought tolerant. Avoid wet soils.
