Tall Tickseed can reach considerable heights, producing masses of bright yellow flowers from midsummer into fall. It naturally occurs in prairies, open woodlands, savannas, and moist to average meadows. Its height makes it particularly useful toward the back of a native border. I can form large colonies. It can flop in rich soil or when grown in too much shade. You can divide established colonies if they become too large. It is an excellent choice for a large meadow or naturalized border.
