Faits intéressants
Prairie Smoke gets its name from the seed tufts that develop from pollinated flowers. The tufts resemble wisps of smoke ranging from pink to purple in colour. It is drought tolerant and cannot tolerate being waterlogged. Since it is short, it is ideal for the edges of gardens where it will not disappear under taller plants. It can be used to add interest to a landscape in winter, since it retains its foliage.
