Faits intéressants
Balsam Groundsel is found in moist to wet meadows, marsh edges, open woodlands, and fens. It grows best in moist, well-drained soils, although it tolerates occasional seasonal flooding. Bright yellow, daisy-like flowers bloom from late spring into early summer, adding cheerful colour to naturalized gardens. It forms tidy clumps and spreads slowly. It is well suited to moist borders, and naturalized plantings where it can establish without overwhelming neighbouring plants. The early flowers provide valuable nectar and pollen for native bees, bumble bees, mining bees
