Square-stemmed Monkeyflower has tubular pink to lavender flowers that bloom through summer. It naturally grows along stream banks, wet meadows, marsh edges, and damp woodlands. Its upright stems and long flowering period make it an attractive addition to pond edges. I can tolerate seasonal flooding. It does not like dry, sandy conditions.
