Spotted Beebalm has unusual layered flower clusters surrounded by colourful pink, lavender, or white bracts. It grows naturally in dry prairies, sandy soils, and open areas. Unlike taller bee balms, it has a more delicate, airy appearance and prefers excellent drainage. It is a great choice for dry gardens and prairie plantings. It does not tolerate wet winter conditions and is drought tolerant once established. Let it self-seed to continue having plants from year to year. Avoid rich, overly moist soils.
